Masters in History - What Next??



So in June I graduated at Ely Cathedral with an MA in History.  I achieved a Merit which I am immensely proud of.  So what's next....

Well, Monday saw me enrol to be a PhD candidate/student/researcher type bod at University of Northampton.  My thesis will be on Philanthropy in the Boot and Shoe Industry in Northamptonshire.  This was supposed to be my dissertation for my MA but for a number of reasons I put it to one side and obviously studied buses instead.

This week was a bit crazy. We had a three day induction which included lots about ethics and integrity and data management etc. Talk about information overload. However, I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in.

I’ll be keeping you all updated with the trials and tribulations of being a PhD student and hope you all support me on my journey

  PhD in Lockdown: Reflections on 2020 and (loose) aims for 2021 It's been a while since I wrote a blog post but my New Years goal (I don't do resolutions) is to blog more and give this site a revival.  Obviously, it would be rude not to do a reflection on the past year.
