Frances Ann Whitlock 

1856 – 1926

Frances Ann Whitlock was born in 1856 in Silverstone, Northamptonshire.  Her parents were Thomas Whitlock and Selina Hannah Varney.  She was baptised at St Michaels Church, Silverstone on 5 October 1856. 

In 1861, Frances was living with her parents and family in Silverstone, Northamptonshire.  The occupants were:

Frances married John Alexander Linnell in January 1874  registered at Towcester, Northamptonshire.

In 1891 John and Frances lived in Silverstone, Northamptonshire with their family.  The occupants were

John and Frances had 6 children, Ada Agnes, John Alexander Whitlock, Amy Louisa, Ronald Edmund, Frederick Thomas, and Eveline.

Frances died on August 1926 in Silverstone, Northamptonshire. She was buried in St Michaels Church, Silverstone, Northamptonshire on 5th August 1926.

  Elizabeth Arnold was the wife of James William Arnold (known as William Arnold) of A & W Arnold, Northampton. Born in Northampton in 1861 to Alfred Walker, was a boot fitter from Alfred’s Place St Sepulchre’s Northampton , and Elizabeth Harriet Cox, from Thrapston, Northampton, she married William Arnold on 30 th November 1885 at St Michaels Church, Northampton.[1] Elizabeth Arnold, Primitive Methodist Magazine, 1928 We can make assumptions about Mrs Arnold’s demeanour from the personal recollections of her husband, William.
